AFFORDABILITY AND RISING COSTS

Families across our communities are feeling the pressure of rising costs, and they deserve leadership focused on real relief. I am committed to policies that actually make our community, and our lives, more affordable — without tax increases. That means being responsible with public resources, setting clear priorities to address the cost of living, and making sure our government works efficiently for the people it serves.

My approach is simple: focus on lowering costs, supporting economic stability, and ensuring that growth benefits everyone – not just the ultra-wealthy. That includes taking a hard look at the cost of groceries, skyrocketing gas and energy prices, and affordable healthcare — and pursuing real solutions to deliver meaningful relief for everyone in our community. We must also hold corporations accountable for greedy practices and price gouging that’s driving up everyday costs for Pennsylvanian families. By making thoughtful decisions, encouraging opportunity, and holding bad actors accountable, we can create a more affordable future — while keeping our community a place where people can live, work, and succeed.

HIGH QUALITY PUBLIC EDUCATION

Strong public schools are the foundation of a strong community. Every child deserves access to a high-quality education, regardless of their background or their zip code. I support fully funding public schools so that classrooms have the resources they need: well-trained teachers, up-to-date materials, safe facilities, and support services that help students succeed.

My sister is a teacher and I’ve seen firsthand the need to invest in our educators by giving them the tools and support to do their jobs effectively and make a living wage while doing so. By fully funding our public schools, we are investing in our future: supporting students, strengthening our communities, and building a stronger economy for everyone.

AFFORDABLE CHILDCARE

No family should have to choose between paying the bills and finding safe, reliable childcare, and no childcare worker should be paid poverty wages for doing some of the most important work in our communities. Childcare is essential infrastructure, and we must treat it that way. We need to cap childcare costs so families are not overwhelmed, while making the necessary investments to ensure providers can pay their workers a true sustaining wage with benefits. We do this by expanding access, supporting small providers, and strengthening our standards so every child receives quality care and every worker is respected. When childcare is made more affordable, families are strengthened, the economy grows, and a stronger future is built for everyone.

STANDING UP FOR WORKERS

I am committed to being a strong, dedicated voice for working people and the labor unions that support them. Workers deserve fair pay, safe working conditions, and the right to organize and negotiate for better opportunities. I will stand with unions to protect those rights, support collective bargaining, and ensure workers are treated with dignity and respect. When we stand up for workers, we strengthen families, support our economy, and build a more fair and just community for everyone.

SAFEGUARDING WOMEN’S RIGHTS

Women deserve the freedom, respect, and opportunity to make their own choices about their lives, their careers, and their healthcare. As a survivor of complicated pregnancies, I know that medical providers need the ability to make decisions quickly. It’s vital that we protect the fundamental right to access reproductive healthcare without interference, ensuring decisions are made between a woman and her doctor — not politicians or lawyers. And at a time when our right to vote is under attack by federal legislation, we must also stand firm in defending every American’s fundamental right to make their voice heard at the ballot box.

INVESTING IN INFRASTRUCTURE THAT CONNECTS

We must invest in modernizing our aging infrastructure to keep our roads and bridges safe, and to better protect our communities from flooding and sinkholes. Infrastructure is more than roads and bridges; it’s the foundation of a thriving community. That also means funding public transit so people can reliably get where they need to go, investing in vibrant community spaces like libraries, arts centers, coffee shops, and theaters, and supporting violence prevention through strong local programs and resources. I will fight to bring back funding that invests directly in our communities and uplifts our local economy.

PROTECTING OUR DEMOCRACY

Our democracy depends on trust, participation, and accountability. I will always protect the ability to vote by mail in Pennsylvania which makes voting widely accessible for older generations and working families who struggle to make time to vote in person. Additionally, we need campaign finance reform to reduce the influence of dark money and Super PACs so that the electoral process better reflects the will of the people and not corporate interests. I am committed to defending the rule of law, protecting a free and independent press, and encouraging greater civic engagement so every voice can be heard. By promoting fairness, transparency, and security, we can build a stronger, more resilient democracy that serves everyone.
